Rend will probably be Frostkeep’s first sport, and co-founder Jeremy Wood explained to SE7EN.WS why they’re tackling the survival style for his or her debut:
“There’s so much frustration built into the genre,” Wood says. “It can be part of the charm, but a lot of it is unnecessarily punishing. Survival games have this promise of grand war, but the reality is, most of the time, you’re either going to be fighting 20 on two battles or you’re just going to have your stuff taken from you at four in the morning.”

Despite seeming vexed by the survival style, Woods defined how his frustration fuels his need to make Rend completely different.
“I’ve a love-hate relationship with each sport that I play,” Woods says. “There isn’t any sport that may’t be improved and there’s no sport you may’t be taught one thing from, and that is true of survival video games as nicely.”
Rend is presently in Early Access on Steam – a agency launch date has not been set. Head to its store page for extra data.
