This invisible assistant will always throw a few first-aid kits or a defibrillator if the survivors have a low level of health. It is AI “Director” that helps make the game more interesting.

The entire gameplay consists of shooting dozens of zombies that stagger around the map or in crowds chasing your group. Due to the huge number of goals, it is not always possible to eliminate the threat, therefore it is important to constantly move and break through to more advantageous position. Staying outdoors, as well as sitting in a corner, becomes dangerous and risky, especially during an attack by the Horde or Tank.

Sitting in the corner and fighting off opponents during the Horde invasion is no longer an option, because special infected people can divide the survivors, break your formation or hold the player in the corner, which can lead to the death of the entire group. For example, a new kind of especially infected ones is Spitters. They are able to kill a group of players with one spit, if they are clamped in a narrow space. Therefore, the only option to survive and have fun in Left 4 Dead 2 is to act together with your group.

Cooperative passage and the ability to play with other players on the network provide a completely different gaming experience. In competitive games, gamers are divided into two teams – surviving and infected (4 people each). The task is trivial – to destroy the enemy team.
