Description: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the brightest and most significant achievements in the modern video game industry, winning the hearts of millions. Developed by Polish studio CD Projekt RED, this epic not only continued, but also greatly expanded the boundaries of the RPG genre, giving players unparalleled freedom to explore and influence the world.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt immerses the player in a vast open world full of magic, intrigue and adventure. Here, every decision has consequences, and every corner of the world is teeming with life and stories. As Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter, players will have to unravel the mystery of the Wild Hunt and find Ciri, the child of prophecy, who can change the fate of the world.
The developers from CD Projekt RED tried hard and made the project different from the previous parts. The main difference is the immersion in the open world, which is not linear. The environment is constantly changing, and to interact with it, the player needs to use combat and detective skills. But one should not forget about eloquence in order to successfully complete an order with minimal effort.
The main story missions have many levels with additional tasks that will help the Witcher to become stronger. And to make the passage even more interesting and different, the developers of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt added 36 endings.
Key features that make the game stand out:
- Open World: The project provides players with a huge map to explore, populated by unique landscapes, mysterious dungeons and diverse ecosystems, making each adventure unique.
- Character Interaction: The game abounds with charismatic characters, each with their own story and motivations. This interaction allows players to influence the course of the story and its outcomes.
- Gameplay Variety: The complex and multifaceted combat system offers players a combination of magic, weapon mastery, and alchemy, requiring them to develop unique strategies to overcome challenges.
- Visual Excellence: The Next Gen Update shines with visual enhancements including ray tracing for more realistic lighting, improved textures and shaders, and a wide range of community and developer modifications.
Thus, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt not only continues the legendary series, but also expands the boundaries of the genre, offering players an unforgettable journey through a world where every choice matters.
The player will plunge into a fantasy world based on Slavic mythology. The literary universe, authored by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, is taken as a basis. But, naturally, the developers added a lot of new things.
The main active character is Geralt of Rivia, presented to players as a hunter of mythical monsters, who tries to protect his adopted daughter Ciri. In short, Ciri is being hunted by the powerful otherworldly force Wild Hunt, the mystery of which is revealed gradually as the character progresses. It’s also worth noting that extremely many aspects of the plot are closely intertwined with Andrzej Sapkowski’s books. That said, the overall plot is connected to the previous installments of The Witcher.
Gameplay:
- World Exploration: The huge open world of The Witcher 3 offers players the freedom to explore, from snow-capped mountains to bubbling seas. Journeys are enriched by encounters with monsters, treasure hunts and numerous challenges.
- Combat System: Geralt wields swords, magic and alchemy, allowing players to develop unique combinations to overcome obstacles. The weapon and armor upgrade system adds depth to strategic planning.
- Moral Choices: One of the key features of the game is the moral choices system, where the player’s actions affect the world and the outcome of the story, offering multiple plot ramifications and different endings.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received worldwide acclaim and rave reviews from critics and players alike, selling over 50 million copies. The game has become a benchmark for the RPG genre, proving that a deep story, a vibrant world, and complex moral choices can create an unforgettable gaming experience.

Reviews
This game transcends mere entertainment, emerging as a masterpiece I’ve had the privilege to experience, possibly the best I’ve ever played. Its vibrant worlds, profound characters, and immersive dialogues made every moment unforgettable. Completing every quest and exploring every corner brings a sense of nostalgia, akin to cherished memories.
The game’s magnitude isn’t just in its vast map or numerous quests but in its ambitious storytelling, the impact of choices, and the thrill of encountering and adapting to new challenges. CD PROJEKT has crafted an experience that’s left an indelible mark on my heart, for which I am profoundly grateful.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is hands down one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played. Seriously, this game is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. From the moment you start playing, you’re sucked into this incredibly detailed world filled with monsters, magic, and political intrigue.
After so many hours, so many adventures, so many life lessons.. I wish I had words to describe this game, but I simply don’t.
It is the best game I’ve ever played in my life, it’s like a work of art that I’m glad I had the chance to experience.
Every place you go feels so alive, the characters are so well written that most of the time I would get completely immersed in the conversations with them, Completed both the DLCs and man they were great. This is for sure a must-play.
10/10
Having had five major playthroughs of The Witcher 3 over the years, I cannot recommend this game enough for fans of open-world, “fantasy-realism” RPGs. The writing, voice acting and story quality are excellent and full of humour, the combat is fluid and satisfying and there is a strong level of excitement created by unlocking new gear and visiting new locations. The graphics have also always been top tier, kept up to date with Patch 4.0 and the inclusion of ray tracing and HDR.
The Blood and Wine DLC is definitely the best DLC pack I have played for any game, ever. It offers more of the best aspects of the base game, with its own bright atmosphere and locations which have been lovingly crafted with great ambition.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an absolute masterpiece, seamlessly blending breathtaking visuals with an immersive narrative. The world of Geralt of Rivia is rich and alive, inviting players into a realm teeming with both beauty and danger. Its captivating story keeps you hooked from start to finish, filled with memorable characters and morally complex choices. Every corner of the expansive open world is packed with detail, making exploration a joy. From its stunning landscapes to its intricate quests, Witcher 3 sets a new standard for storytelling in gaming. A must-play for any RPG enthusiast.
This is, without a doubt, the best game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. The exceptional character writing, captivating music, and engaging story have ensnared me in a way no other game has before. The depth of the world is enhanced by seemingly minor quests, like the one involving Lena in White Orchard, which, while not crucial to the gameplay, enrich the game’s universe with their presence and outcomes, imbuing it with life and offering rewards that reflect the classic Witcher series’ penchant for bittersweet narratives.
The game’s brilliance lies in its moral complexity, presenting players with decisions that often feel like choosing the lesser of two evils, and pushing them to contemplate what truly serves the greater good. Despite its age showing in certain aspects, the game remains an unparalleled experience for those willing to overlook its imperfections, promising an unforgettable journey.
