About this game
Hades 2 continues the story of the underworld from the first game. Several years after the events of the original the Titan Chronos breaks free from his prison, seizes Hades’s throne, and starts a war against Olympus. The princess of the underworld Melinoë must stop the lord of time and save Olympus.
Players can expect the same fast paced action with roguelike elements, now with new characters, abilities, and locations. Melinoë wields dark magic, uses legendary weapons of Night, and calls on the Olympian gods for aid. Every run is unique. The heroine receives boons from Zeus, Aphrodite, Apollo, and other gods, explores ever changing dungeons, and even reaches the surface. The game is available on PC (Windows) so you can download Hades 2 on our site right now.
Ongoing story.
After each failed run the story moves forward with new dialogue and details. New characters appear over time and fully voiced scenes make the world feel lively and dynamic.
New mythic heroes.
The pantheon is greatly expanded. Olympians such as Apollo, Nemesis, Hecate, Moros, and others stand with Melinoë and grant her divine boons. You will meet new allies as well as powerful enemies drawn from Greek legend.
Magical abilities.
Dark magic appears in the game for the first time and the heroine is a practiced witch. Spells and curses enrich the core combat system and let you deal with foes in new ways, combining abilities for maximum effect.
Deep progression system.
Hades 2 offers many paths for character growth. You have several weapons with alternate fighting styles, unique perks presented as a tarot like deck, and even familiar companions that help in battle. By experimenting with different skill combinations you can achieve truly impressive results.

Reviews
Even in early access, Hades 2 doubles the amount of content in that of its predecessor. Besides that, the game just feels great to play. Even having finished all available content, I keep finding myself going back to do a run. It takes everything the first game did great: the combat, the writing, the flavor, the base-building and just makes it even better. Which is insane considering how perfect the first game felt.
For me it is the gold-standard for roguelikes, nothing comes close to this game.
Been a supporter and tester since it was an early access. No regrets, just endless joy. They had impossible expectations for this game and it’s even better than we hoped for. The graphics, art style, music, characters, voice acting, the unique battle system and story are all amazing. The developers have nailed every aspect of the game. Supergiant just never fails i’m so glad they managed to make another banger.
This is a masterpiece. IN THE NAME OF HADES! OLYMPUS, I ACCEPT THIS SEQUEL!
About 4 hours in and I can already say this is how you make a sequel. Some other companies should take notice. This so far is super super fun. There is a larger sense of progression in this one that makes it feel different. The addition of items and cards that you collect along the way, for me, has already made this better than the original.
The story, so far is engrossing and entertaining. This is usually something i would just click past. Not in this game. They write good funny stuff. The theme of the game in general is what originally drawn me to the first game. That year it was the best game i played. This in early access already has that potential. This is a unique game in a genre I would normally never touch. But I love it and I have no doubt I will be playing this one for awhile. Sorry steam but I wont be buying another game for a few weeks.
I think creating a boss fight with sirens with songs that are unironically so great they actually take your attention away from the battle and force you to fumble, or even stop fighting at all to listen to the song more, is a pinnacle of game design that wont ever be surpassed
I genuinely cannot stress this enough how incredibly genius it is that they managed to implement what the sirens are most known for without directly making it a game mechanic
ABSOLUTE VIDEOGAME
