When i think of CS:Source i think of the middle child. Where 1.6 and Global Offensive get all the love, Source is usually overlooked by most people. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad game by any means just more so highly underrated. Whenever it goes on sale give it a chance and play it. I’m sure you’ll find something enjoyable about the game that’ll make you wanna come back.
Counter-Strike Source
Online multiplayer game. Based on the extremely popular mode to Half-Life, Counter-Strike, this game is a completely redesigned version of it on a new engine. The combination of realistic and fast arcade shooter pace – one of the key elements that made the game so popular. The counter-terrorists (special forces) fighting against terrorists. Teams rescue / hold hostages and neutralize / set the bomb. It uses modern real weapons.
The core gameplay is like many such drugimh military shooter with a first-person, but, unlike them, based on rounds. Instead of reviving the death of the players need to wait until the end of the round. At the beginning of each round, players get the money to buy weapons and equipment; for killing enemies, and the objectives are given extra money. This nature of the game encourages teamwork and trying to stay alive. The game engine, Source from the company Valve, provides much better graphics than its predecessor Half-Life: Counter-Strike, and also introduces a more realistic physical model.

How to change the nickname?
– Open the folder with the game, find the file rev.ini
– A notebook open file rev.ini
– Locate the line – PlayerName = “Player” replace “Player” in the “Your nickname”
How to access the server?
1. Call the game console by pressing the tilde “~”
2. In the window that appears, write: connect ip: port and press Enter (Enter)
How to use the auto-update:
1. Start Counter-Strike Source;
2. Press the check;
3. Wait until the install updates (until notification of completion);
4. Press the “Go!” to start the game.

Counter-Strike: Source is probably the best Counter-Strike game, in my opinion. It’s essentially a remake/remaster of the original game, with graphical enhancements, improved sounds, and other changes. There’s no skins, no paid graffiti, no crates or keys, just pure CS fun. There aren’t as many people playing it as 1.6 or CS:GO, but it has bot matches as well, which are pretty fun. I’d definitely recommend this game as an introduction to Counter-Strike.

Without any doubt I consider this game the best “Counter-Strike” game. But I can’t be very objective when I write about it. I had so many good memories and so many great people I met playing it. So this was always more than a game for me. The vast majority of steam friends are just the people I played with. Unlike CS:GO this game have a great community and much less toxic players & kids and unlike CS 1.6 graphics aren’t so outdated. I still play it sometimes, but of course not like back in days. So this game will always have a special place in my heart and life in general and with some games which I played through childhood this is one of the favorite games I’ve ever played.

No loot boxes, progress bar, or unlocks. Just straight up fun gameplay and reliable game mechanics. Another classic must-have game from Valve. Yes people still play this game in 2018, it is still relevant and worth buying.
