Primitive “Internet” Lives On!

The end of multiplayer is a sad event for fans. But it is simply impossible to avoid this: the hardware reaches its ceiling, support becomes technologically impossible, and the maintenance of servers turns out to be unprofitable for the company. Fortunately, if the project is not completely abandoned, but transferred to newer platforms, as happened with GTA Online. However, its original versions, for PS3 and Xbox 360, which found their peace at the end of 2021, still in the hearts of the players. Sometimes this is enough to bring the game back to the monitor screens.

Fans have found a way to revive (and one of them shared this find with the world) old “Online” using RPCS3, a PlayStation 3 emulator on PC. It became possible to touch again original functions and tasks like attacking the cash machine, accessing legacy web pages, and an early character editor. In addition, enthusiasts managed not only to launch the game, but also to enter the general session!

The opening was immediately picked up by other representatives of the GTA community, and even rolled out fileswhich help to launch the good old “Online” on the PS3 itself.
