Olivia Rodrigo & BTS Continue Atop Global Charts, Maneskin Scores Third Top 10

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” tallies a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and BTS‘ “Butter” adds a fifth frame atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Plus, Måneskin notches its third Global Excl. U.S. top 10, as “Beggin’ ” soars from No. 21 to No. 7. The Italian quartet first hit the top 10 three weeks ago with “Zitti E Buoni,” the winning song in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

Billboard‘s two global charts (the latest of which are dated July 3) began last September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.

Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

‘Good’ Still Best

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” claims a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, as the leader by the southern California native drew 89.6 million streams (down 10%) and sold 14,900 (down 3%) worldwide in the June 18-24 tracking week.

BTS’ “Butter” keeps at No. 2 after two weeks atop the Global 200; The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” stays at No. 3, following its one-week reign; Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” featuring DaBaby, lifts 6-4, after reaching No. 2; and Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA, pushes 7-5, after hitting No. 3.

‘Butter’ Stays Hot

“Butter” by South Korea’s BTS logs a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 89.9 million streams (up 16%) and 16,900 sold (up 7%) in territories outside the U.S. in the June 18-24 tracking week.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” posts a fifth week at its No. 2 high on the Global Excl. U.S. chart; Rauw Alejandro’s “Todo de Ti” holds at its No. 3 best; The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” is steady at No. 4, after reaching No. 2; and Bad Bunny’s “Yonaguni” is stationary at No. 5, two weeks after it bowed at No. 4.

Elsewhere in the Global Excl. U.S. chart’s top 10, Måneskin roars to the region as “Beggin’ ” blasts 21-7, up 69% to 40.8 million streams and 101% to 4,200 sold outside the U.S.

The group achieves its third Global Excl. U.S. top 10, and best rank yet, after “I Wanna Be Your Slave” reached No. 10 a week earlier (and this week bullets at No. 11) and “Zitti E Buoni” also rose to No. 10, three weeks ago (this week placing at No. 22). The latter song won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest for Måneskin, making the Roman foursome the competition’s first champion from Italy since 1990.
