Battlefield 6 Outsells Call of Duty in the US — Over 20 Million Copies Sold

Battlefield 6 has emerged as a monumental success for Electronic Arts. According to estimates from Alinea Analytics, the shooter has surpassed the 20-million-unit milestone since its launch in October.

The game briefly claimed the top spot on the U.S. best-seller charts, even outpacing Call of Duty—a rare and significant achievement for the EA franchise in recent years.

Industry analyst Rhys Elliott noted:

Battlefield 6 has secured the number one spot, marking a triumphant return for the series. Our data indicates the game has already attracted over 26 million players—including those engaged with the free-to-play REDSEC mode—while the base version alone has sold more than 20 million copies. This resurgence is largely due to the developers listening to community feedback and returning to the franchise’s classic roots.

Officially, EA has only confirmed that 7 million copies were sold during the first three days of release. This makes Battlefield 6 the second fastest-selling game of the year, trailing only Monster Hunter Wilds.

After a period of declining sales and dwindling player counts, the Battlefield series has successfully re-established itself as a formidable rival to Activision’s dominant franchise.
