Principal photography for the project spanned approximately four months.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton has officially announced the conclusion of production for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The filmmaker described the movie as the most ambitious and significant undertaking of his career to date. In a heartfelt message, he extended his gratitude to the entire cast and crew, reserving special praise for lead actor Tom Holland for his unwavering leadership, vibrant energy, and camaraderie on set.
Filming originally kicked off in August, though it faced a brief hiatus in September after Tom Holland sustained a minor concussion during an action sequence. Despite this momentary setback, the shooting schedule was completed within a four-month window, and the project has now successfully transitioned into the post-production phase.
Alongside Holland, the core trio remains intact with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their respective roles. The star-studded ensemble also features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Furthermore, Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have joined the cast in currently undisclosed roles, adding an extra layer of mystery to the narrative.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently slated to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
