After a three-month hiatus following a frightening health incident in New York, English singer-songwriter Lola Young has officially re-emerged into the public eye.
The 24-year-old artist made her return at Lily Allen’s festive gathering in London on Friday (Dec. 19). Young appeared in high spirits, posing for photographs alongside Allen and fellow pop star Olivia Rodrigo.
The appearance coincides with Young’s return to social media, marking her first update since stepping away from the spotlight following her collapse during the All Things Go Festival at Forest Hills Stadium on September 27. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the “Messy” singer shared a heartfelt message with her community.
“I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who allowed me the time and space to recalibrate and focus on my mental well-being,” Young shared. “The outpouring of love and support has been more impactful than I can put into words.”
Looking toward the future, Young indicated that she plans to ease back into her career path. “I am hopeful about a gradual return to the stage as I continue to chase my dreams. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and look forward to reconnecting in 2026.”
She concluded her update with a transparent reflection: “Life is a complex journey, and while things aren’t always perfect, I am doing well today. Sending all my love, Lola.”
Following her collapse in late September, Young made the difficult decision to scrap her remaining tour dates across North America and the U.K. to prioritize her health. At the time, she informed fans that she needed to “go away for a while” to “come back stronger,” citing the need for intensive self-care.
Signs of strain had appeared shortly before the incident; Young had previously withdrawn from a performance in New Jersey, with her management citing a “sensitive matter” regarding her mental health. Ironically, the health crisis occurred just one week after the release of her critically acclaimed third studio album, I’m Only F—king Myself.
