December 11, 2018 Fortnite’s now the most popular gaming term on Pornhub.
Pornhub has shared its stats for 2018, and that means it’s time for us tell you all about the ways in which people are horny for videogames and game characters. It seems Overwatch has lost its spot as the most porn-able game on the market, as Epic’s Fortnite was Pornhub’s most searched videogame term in 2018.
Fortnite comes in at #15 among Pornhub’s top searches for the year, rising more than 17,000 slots over 2017 and beating off Overwatch at #20. It’s also more popular than horny standbys like ‘big tits’ at #17, ‘cartoon’ at #18, and ‘creampie’ at #19. The top four terms – ‘lesbian,’ ‘hentai,’ ‘milf,’ and ‘step mom’ – still reign supreme, same as last year.
The most popular game character this year was Bowsette, which is no surprise despite the fact that she’s not technically a game character. Brigitte’s launch earlier in the year made sure she was in second place, followed closely by gaming’s original sex symbol, Lara Croft. Fortnite characters start a bit further down the list with Calamity – just a few thousand searches short of topping Widowmaker. Other popular Fortnite skins include Bunny, Zoey, Sun Strider, and Brite Bomber.
The only male characters in the top 28 are Mario and Bowser – the latter likely enjoying the knock-on benefits of Bowsette’s popularity. (Unless you count Pokémon like Pikachu and Gardevoir that could technically go either way – and I’m already upset that I’m being forced to consider the possibility of sex with pocket monsters.)
You can read a whole lot more porn statistics – game-related and otherwise – in the Pornhub Insights post. As always, the report itself is mostly safe for work, but it’s still going to show Pornhub in your browser history, if that concerns you.
And if you’re wondering why we’re covering this, well – you’re reading it. You have no one to blame but yourself. Go forth, enjoy your legally consenting porn of choice with minimal shame.
Fortnite’s pornographic rise became notable earlier this year, and Pornhub has been documenting it the whole way. But the full extent of that search is quite astounding. Pornhub (via Polygon) released an insight yesterday revealing that after the big stream between Drake and Ninja, searches for the term ‘Fortnite’ spiked to 824% higher than the overall Pornhub average.
Another Insights post followed up on a big bout of Fortnite downtime, porn searches related to the game began to spike just as the servers went down. At the high in the middle of the downtime, searches beat out the average by as much as 60%. When the outage ended the next day, those searches returned closer to normal levels over the next few hours.
