Battlefield V Unsung Heroes: the support class brings the big guns

Battlefield V Unsung Heroes Support

This is the culmination of our Battlefield V Unsung Heroes series. In our seventh and final instalment, the support class unleashes the big guns and goes to town on anyone foolish enough to get in their way. Wielding LMGs and explosives, they’re nightmare fuel for hostile vehicles and infantry alike. And with stocks of ammo in reserve, they’re the best friend of any ally running dry.

As with all four classes in Battlefield V, combat roles let you spec towards a specific criteria. We’ve gone for the engineer support class here. This specialisation includes the vehicle fixer trait, which lets you repair vehicles and build fortifications faster than any other combat role. Then there’s the heavy weapons expert trait, which allows you can fire heavy weapons longer before they overheat. These two buffs will prove to be crucial to anyone looking to demonstrate their worth has a true support squaddie.

In this episode, the support class has a tough time of it on the North African Aerodrome map. Pinned down by fire from all sides on an Axis airstrip with cover in short supply, our hero fights their way into a spacious hanger, where allies take advantage of the support’s vital ammo packs. After that, there’s a daring attempt on the enemy’s position, made all the more incredible by the fact it’s an entirely single-handed raid. Will they pull it off? You’ll have to watch it and see.

The support class is a great starting choice, combining strong combat abilities with fantastic team play. But ultimately, whatever class you decide to be in Battlefield V, we salute you.
