First of all, there is this strange sound that the console makes after inserting the disc into the player. While some believe it may be coming from the fan blades, the affected player confirms that the noise is only heard after the disc has been slipped into the Xbox Series X.
My new @Xbox has now turned into a mechanic machine gun or a metronome .. great start to next gen! Never had any issues with Xbox at all before .. @XboxSupport pic.twitter.com/N85LjyHn0b

In other cases, it is simply impossible to insert the disc into the drive.
Hey @XboxSupport!
I think my #XboxSeriesX might have a defective disc drive. I’ve tried inserting a few different compatible games (both Xbox One & 360) & the drive won’t let me insert it. Nothing is in there (to my knowledge). I just set it up.
Any help is appreciated! 😊 pic.twitter.com/2r1mQkYSLY

Finally, there is also the blow of the disc which is not recognized by the Xbox Series X.

Obviously, many are those to cry fakes, but still it is that Microsoft takes these returns seriously since the American manufacturer recalls on Twitter that all its products are subject to quality control, and refers to this address for online support.
Note that on Reddit, players confirm that changing the positioning of the console (horizontally or vertically) can improve things, as can force the disc a little to insert it into the player. Having said that, when you’ve bought a € 499 console, you don’t necessarily want to play big with it.
