Speaking with GI.biz, Faliszek confirmed his departure, stressing there have been no “hard feelings” with the corporate – solely that it was time for one thing new.

“[It was]Nothing exciting or drama filled,” he advised GI.biz. “I labored there 12 years, shipped a bunch of nice video games and a few wonderful and wished to vary issues up.

“There’s no information on what’s subsequent and so on, I’ll let you understand when that occurs.”

Faliszek co-wrote storylines for the Half-Life sequence and Portal alongside fellow writers Erik Wolpaw and Marc Laidlaw, who each left Valve earlier to Faliszek’s departure.

Laidlaw confirmed he had left Valve in early 2016, and Wolpaw left the firm in February of this 12 months.

He additionally write the story for each Left four Dead and Left for Dead 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and was a author for Dota 2 alongside Marc Laidlaw and Ted Kosmatka.

In the previous few years, Faliszek took on the position of developer relations boss for Valve’s Vive VR. He labored as a liaison for builders who wished to publish titles on the agency’s VR tech.
