Tiffany Haddish is leaning right into her music abilities. The multi-talented artist just recently dropped her Diane Warren- composed track, “Woman Up,” and she took a seat with Billboard‘s Rania Aniftos to talk about exactly how the track became.
“Diane Warren had slid in my DMs back in 2017,” Haddish remembered. “I had no idea because I decided to stay out of the DMs, ’cause there were too many d— pics coming through and that was just shocking. […] Then, I ran into her at a party and she was like, ‘I was in your DMs, you never responded!’ I was like, ‘I didn’t know you were in my DMs. Oh my gosh, we need to work together!’”
Her group ultimately established her up with Warren, and the duo inevitably collaborated on 3 tunes that the songwriter created. Haddish additionally shared that she collaborated with Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, E-40 and even more on course she’s wishing to launch. “My whole mission was to create songs to put in my projects, my TV shows and movies,” she discusses.

You have to really know you and know what your weaknesses are and know what your strengths are, so when the haters are talking that mess, it won’t matter because you already know.”
