This No Man’s Sky mod goals to ship the sport we noticed at E3

Back in 2016, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky launched to a disappointing reception. Critics and gamers alike felt the sport was not the pastel-coloured paradise marketed and plenty of options proven in trailers appeared to be missing. However, practically two years later, one modder is aiming to overtake the traditional sci-fi journey and switch it into the sport gamers had been promised.

Get extra deep intergalactic exploration with the best space games on PC.

Modder Rayrod created the No Man’s Sky mod Rayrod’s Overhaul, a “personal project” which reinforces the sport’s visuals, high quality of life and gameplay utilizing a mix of E3 trailers, pre-release photographs and his personal creativeness as idea artwork.

The mod consists of an ecology and terrain overhaul, in addition to over 2,000 completely different handcrafted procedural biomes, extra intense and dynamic “E3 style” climate and expanded color palettes.

“My goal and inspiration has been a cross between E3-style nostalgia with a modern vibe but linked to the initial game’s aesthetic with a few rare exceptions,” writes Rayrod in his mod description. “To not stray away from the original game’s intended lore and style and to not break the No Man’s Sky vibe, but to enhance the game in nearly every way.”

Rarod’s mod continues to be in beta mode however you possibly can try the complete mod specs, and comply with its progress, on the No Man’s Sky Nexus.
