Brendan Greene and the staff at Bluehole Studio are attempting to wring as a lot energy as potential out of the Xbox One X.
Back in July, after we first heard that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was coming to Xbox One, we discovered that the sport was already running at 30-40FPS on Xbox One X, even with totally populated 100-person servers.
Now, speaking to video games journal Games TM (as observed by WCCFTech), Greene (PlayerUnknown himself) has mentioned that the staff is pushing for 60 frames per second on the Xbox One X model – and that they’ll shoot for that on the common Xbox One too, though that may not be potential.
“Definitely on Xbox One X, 60FPS. On Xbox One, we’re not sure. We may have to limit it at 30FPS, maybe, but the last time I saw it, it was running at about 30 to 40”, he advised the journal. “We’re still constantly improving it so, you know, the aim is to get to 60”.
While Greene is fairly positive it’s doable, he additionally acknowledges that body fee shouldn’t be as essential for a sport like this because it is perhaps for a twitch shooter. “Unlike the more high paced shooters, frame rate isn’t that important”.
PUBG is coming to Xbox One on December 12, which isn’t distant now. It may have a physical release in addition to a digital one.
Since the title is a part of the Game Preview program, anticipate to see it tweaked and improved over time.
