The Take-2 Terror Is Over? The authors of GTA United surrendered

After repeated round-up of Take-Two for modifications there was a thought that the policy of terror will continue, but after that the GTA community did not report any major new closings. Is the copyright holder calmed down? ..

However, despite this, the creators of the GTA United modification decided to personally suspend their business, without waiting for warnings from Zelnik and Co. The authors said their parting words, thanked everyone on your website and closed access to downloading the mod (we have it available – download). The modification fell under the description of those that were actively prohibited – it united Liberty City from Gta 3 and Vice City from GTA: VC in the same world with the state of San Andreas from GTA: SA… The history of this global fashion began in 2006 and lasted 15 years. Previously, the creators claimed that there weren’t much further plans after the current version 1.2, but now the project had to be closed once and for all.

Users also noticed that the statement released in 2017, was changed – a year ago, the fourth (iv) point was added there. It deals with the prohibition of the creation of “new” games, plots, tasks or maps. As such, Rockstar and Take-Two have expanded the list of mod categories that they can remove at will.

“Rockstar Games fosters creativity in players, especially when they express their commitment to our games. As a result of negotiations with Take-Two, Take-Two agreed to waive legal action against software products related to Rockstar PC games developed by third parties, provided they are non-commercial in nature and respect the intellectual property (IP) rights of the third parties. This decision does not apply to (i) multi-user or networked services, (ii) tools, files, libraries or functions that can be used to influence multi-user or networked services, (iii) use or import of another IP (including Rockstar IP) into your software product, or (iv) the creation of new games, plots, tasks or maps. It is not a license, endorsement, or permission for a third party software product. Take-Two reserves the right to prohibit any such third party software product and revise, revoke or revoke this decision at any time in its sole discretion. This statement is not a waiver of rights that Take-Two may have with respect to third party software products. ”
