Telltale Games has issued a press release relating to the unlucky inclusion of Andrei Karlov, the Russian ambassador to Turkey, showing in Batman: The Enemy Within.
Earlier this week, a picture of Karlov exhibiting the aftermath of his assassination was found in Batman: The Enemy Within.
The picture of his demise was superimposed into the Gotham brokerage in-game scene exhibiting a theft had taken place. You can see this quite clearly in this hands-on video from Wretch Plays.
Side-by-side comparisons have been proven everywhere in the web, exhibiting the similarities. It’s inclusion wasn’t vetted totally it appears, and Telltale is taking the problem very severely.
“An update to the game has been submitted this morning that will be removing the image across all platforms,” a Telltale consultant advised Gamasutra.
The spokesperson additional acknowledged the studio regrets the incident and is taking steps to “ensure we continue to maintain our high standards in Production and Quality Assurance.”
