Team Fortress 2 Update from October 24, 2024

A new update for Team Fortress 2 has been released. This update will automatically apply when you restart the game. Key changes in this update include:

  • Added the list of authors missing for arena_lumberyard_event.
  • Corrected the Crook Combatant so it no longer hides the Scout’s dog tags.
  • Fixed some sound script entries not playing due to incorrect file format references (.wav instead of .mp3).
  • Corrected the BLU Scout’s team color pants issue.
  • Resolved incorrect surface properties on some props_farm models.
  • Aligned the large backpack image version of The Fast Learner with the small version.
  • Updated schema entries for The Hound’s Hood and the Thrilling Tracksuit by removing unused settings.
  • Fixed missing nomip and nolod settings on certain community console images.
  • Changed Freaky Fair’s expert contract to “Win a round on Freaky Fair.”
  • Fixed import issues from the previous update for the Fleet Commander and Delldozer.
  • Improvements to arena_lumberyard_event include:
    • Resolved issue of mini-crits being removed from the last player standing if using Crit-a-Cola.
    • Added missing navigation mesh.
    • Fixed areaportal windows in spawn appearing too early.
    • Resolved player stuck issues on the setup doors.
    • Adjusted prop fade settings.
  • Changes to cp_darkmarsh include:
    • Reduced spell spawn timer from 180 seconds to 120 seconds.
    • Spells appearing outside respawn rooms now disappear after 30 seconds if not collected.
    • Added several additional pumpkin bomb spawn points.
    • Fixed portcullis doors turning black when opening.
    • Reduced RED team’s respawn wave time for the last point from 10 to 8 seconds.
  • Updates to tow_dynamite include:
    • Fixed an ammo pick-up discrepancy on the BLU side.
    • Added a missing wagon wheel on the BLU side.
    • Included Tug of War objective strings.
    • Increased the depth of the jump pad’s death pits.
    • Introduced a new critter.
  • Updates to pd_circus involve:
    • Fixed prompts for spell books that were not spawning in the map.
    • Reduced points per player from 6 to 5.
    • Lessened distracting lighting and details around inaccessible circus areas.
    • Resolved teleporter placement too close to spawn doors.
    • Fixed incorrect collisions.
    • Corrected small displacements cutting through walls.
    • Closed some gaps in geometry.
