Fortnite has unveiled the refreshed map in anticipation of the Battle Royale’s ‘Galactic Battle’ event, set to commence on May 2.
Following the official Season 3 launch announcement and Battle Pass showcase last week, Epic has released various in-game visuals along with a full preview of the minimap. (see below)
The minimap reveals that ‘Galactic Battle’ will present four temporary Star Wars-inspired areas on the Island, alongside several notable Landmarks. Vader Samurai’s Solitude, First Order Base, Resistance Base, and Outpost Enclave will replace existing points of interest on the Chapter 6 Island. Each new area promises a Star Wars Boss character and assorted friendly NPCs throughout the map.
The newly revealed screenshots also confirm that certain Star Wars spacecraft will be operational vehicles within the game, including an X-Wing spawn point depicted at ‘Outpost Enclave’.
