Epic Games has rolled out an unannounced Fortnite Battle Royale hotfix that introduces a notable balance patch for the 8-Bit Shotgun, pairing a substantial reload speed buff for the highest tier with a minor base damage reduction across all rarities.

Prominent data miners and leakers revealed that the Mythic variant of the weapon receives a staggering 40% reduction in reload duration, plunging the downtime from 4.2 seconds down to a brisk 2.5 seconds. Specifically, the Enhanced Mythic reload now clocks in at 2.52 seconds. To counterbalance this enhanced utility, body shot output for every tier—from Common up to Mythic—sees a uniform decrease of roughly 3.1%.
