A new update for Team Fortress 2 has been rolled out. Once you restart Team Fortress 2, the update will be applied automatically. Significant modifications include:
- Enhanced matchmaking performance
- Optimized matchmaker behavior for users with suboptimal ping levels, allowing it to more swiftly position you in the best available region.
- Refined matchmaker decisions for cross-region parties
- Introduced error messages to inform users when they’re removed from the matchmaking queue due to connectivity or authentication issues, as opposed to the queue disappearing without notification.
- Resolved issues where the matchmaking settings dialog often failed to show any datacenters
- Fixed multiple instances where active casual matches unexpectedly ended or couldn’t assign new players if the game server lost connection to Steam
- Updated the cosmetic items Mountebank’s Masque, Courtier’s Collar, and Harlequin’s Hooves to address paint region issues
