It’s by no means recreation over in Super Mario Odyssey, fairly actually.
Nintendo has revealed that the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey is not going to have a Game Over display. When you fail or die for any purpose, you’ll as an alternative simply lose ten cash and that’s it.
This fascinating bit of reports was shared by Nintendo by the official Japanese twitter for Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo used a GIF of Mario dying to a Spiny for instance how that is going to work.
マリオの体力が0になったり、奈落に落ちると、持っているコインが10枚減ってしまいます。ただし…!いくらミスしてもGAME OVERはありません。 pic.twitter.com/6oEia6LcVr

According to Rocket News 24‘s translation, here’s what the tweet stated: “If Mario’s health drops to zero, or if he falls down a bottomless pit, you’ll lose 10 of your coins. But…! No matter how many times you’ll mess up, there’s never a game over.”
This is a little bit of a giant change, since Mario video games have historically thrown the Game Over display whenever you ran out of lives. The idea of ‘lives’ doesn’t exist in Super Mario Odyssey, it seems like. We nonetheless don’t know what occurs when you run out of cash, although.
Super Mario Odyssey releases October 27 on Switch.
