Still waiting for an RDR remake/remaster?

A few years ago, there were active rumors that Red Dead Redemption (and indeed GTA 4) can be recompiled as a remaster or even a remake. However, after the failed GTA: Trilogy – Definitive Edition Rockstar Games decided to shelve those ideas. And now there is a new reason to talk about the likelihood of such a project. The Korean Classification Agency has made changes to the information about the 13-year-old game (link 1, link 2).

Still waiting for an RDR remake/remaster?

In the list of “sins” of the western, the item body damage was added, which can be translated as “damage to the body” and implies torn endings and similar joys of gaming. Previously, this wording was used only for a few games – Red Dead Redemption 2 and the last two Dooms. But the number, which includes the NV prefix, indicates that we are talking about console versions (for PC – NP). Recall that RDR was released on PS3 and Xbox 360. For newer “boxes” it is available through a backwards compatibility system in 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, and as part of PlayStation Plus was available last year. The game never made it to PC.

John, check us out on PC!

It is still too early to expect anything specific – you need to wait for official information. In the meantime, it can be noted that “revaluation of values” can either precede good news or mean absolutely nothing. We have had experience when the announcement took place after the issuance of the assessmentand the case when such information is only misled.
