Sega boss, Toshihiro Nagoshi, says a brand new IP is within the works at Yakuza Studio.
Sega’s chief artistic officer and director of the Yakuza sequence, Toshihiro Nagoshi, has revealed that the studio behind the Yakuza games and Binary Domain has been engaged on a model new IP for the previous three years, and it is going to be formally introduced in September.
The information comes from Sega’s Japanese Sega-nama livestream by way of Gematsu, throughout which Nagoshi described the brand new game as being very completely different to the Yakuza sequence.
He teased extra particulars for the following Sega-nama broadcast, after the Tokyo Game Show, saying that Sega might be “[discussing] topics no one is going to expect.”
“It’s a new title announcement that will turn things upside down,” he added.
We might even see the announcement made at TGS, which kicks off on September 19 and runs till September 23, however Nagoshi did affirm that the title might be revealed in September.
