Hiroyuki Miyazaki, a former Executive Manager of the company at the time, was responsible for going over the secrets internally, explaining in particular the fact that the projects all referred to the names of planets. We thus learn that the Game Gear was named “Mercury”, the Megadrive Mini “Moon”, the Saturn the “Saturn” and therefore the Nomad which corresponded to the “Venus” project. There was also a machine called “Pluto” which was supposed to be a Saturn with network functions, which obviously recalls the characteristics of the Dreamcast.
