The newest behind-the-scenes Overwatch video goes extra in-depth with the latest hero, Orisa.
Blizzard has introduced the date that the latest Overwatch hero, Orisa, goes dwell. She’ll be able to roll subsequent week on Tuesday in accordance with the official Twitter account.
In a behind-the-scenes take a look at the hero, the staff talks extra about her inspiration from a gameplay perspective, and her aesthetic design.
“We talked a lot about introducing another, what we like to call, anchor tank,” says sport director Jeff Kaplan.
“We see a gothic Zarya, adds to it Bastion’s cannon, there was just a combination of cobbled-together parts, but it was instantly fun. And that’s how we knew we were on to a good hero.”
Orisa’s description on the Overwatch site describes her as a tank, and central anchor of her staff, with a protecting barrier for defence.
She has lengthy vary assaults, can bolster her personal defenses, can gradual enemies with graviton fees, and she will deploy a Supercharger to spice up a number of staff mates’ harm output.
“I think she’s a core character to the Overwatch lineup in terms of gameplay mechanics and functionality,” Kaplan continues. “She’s going to serve a really unique roll in Overwatch.”
Orisa joins the Overwatch roster on March 21.
