Overkill’s The Walking Dead reveals first playable character in stream with creator Robert Kirkman

The first playable character in Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been revealed through a brand new trailer proven on Twitch.

Aidan is a former architect surviving within the ruins of Washington D.C, wielding a baseball bat with nails hammered into it towards the walkers.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead was unveiled all the best way again in the summer of 2014, and comes from the builders of the co-op financial institution heist sequence, Payday. Their tackle The Walking Dead may even be a four-player, co-op FPS, the place every playable character may have their very own particular talents, talent bushes and squad roles.

This trailer – which was teased last week on Twitter – drops alongside a brief dev diary, introducing among the staff behind the sport.

“We’ve never done anything as big as what we’re doing with Overkill, so I think that’s really exciting.” mentioned The Walking Dead creator and author Robert Kirkman.

“When we began doing Walking Dead video video games, I assumed that first-person-shooter stuff was such a crowded market, and there’s a lot cool zombie stuff in it, I used to be initially very reluctant to go in that space with Walking Dead.

“I wanted to make sure that when we did it, it was really going to blow doors off, it was really going to break new ground, and it going to be something that could stand head-and-shoulders above the things around it.”

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is slated for a Fall 2018 launch on Steam, Xbox One and PS4.
