Minecraft on Switch isn’t constrained to 720p due to the console’s energy, says Microsoft

Microsoft explains why Minecraft doesn’t run at 1080p on the Switch.

Minecraft on Switch isn’t constrained to 720p due to the console’s energy, says Microsoft

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition launched last week within the eShop, and in response to Time’s review, the sport runs at 720p in each docked and handheld in mode.

But the dearth of a 1080p possibility isn’t all the way down to the system’s energy, mentioned Microsoft.

In a press release to Time, the corporate mentioned that, “Minecraft’s 720p docked/undocked resolution isn’t a question of system power, but stems from issues currently experienced shifting from one resolution to the other when docking/undocking.”

Getting the sport to run at 1080p is a chance then, however not one formally confirmed by Microsoft.
