This was one of the promises of Microsoft and Asobo Studio when Flight Simulator was released in August 2020: keep applying new updates to make the user experience even more enjoyable. It is from this basic premise that World Update # 3 has just been deployed, improving two countries in Europe: Great Britain and Ireland. This is reflected on the screen by the addition of 70 additional points of interest for even more realism when flying over the lands of these two countries of northern Europe. Bridges, royal palaces, cathedrals and football stadiums, all are depicted in the most beautiful way possible, since the game again appealed to the High-resolution 3D photogrammetry, including for the cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London and Oxford. Better, we also learn that 5 airports (Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton and Out Skerries) have been carefully recreated by hand, knowing that this new update allows 85 airports to benefit from visual improvements.
To give gamers even more biscuits, Microsoft is also offering three new activities: an iconic flight to the northern islands and two landing challenges, the first being located north of the Shetland Islands archipelago and the another further south, in the turbulent skies of South West England. Enough to spend extra hours in this essential title on PC and on Xbox Game Pass. The icing on the cake: there is a new trailer to discover for this World Update number 3.
