The Multi Theft Auto development team has released a new version of the alternative multiplayer for GTA: San Andreas. The novelty has received many fixes and improvements.

Almost a year has passed since the release of MTA: SA 1.5.8During this time, the developers, together with passionate fans, have done an amazing job of expanding the multiplayer capabilities. New MTA: San Andreas 1.5.9 offers a huge variety of changes. The MTA team says that this is the last numbered version 1.5.9 before the upcoming version 1.6. Since the code will be completely rewritten, many modes, scripts, modifications will not work with the future novelty, but they will try to leave opportunities for backward compatibility.

Key novelties of the multiplayer version 1.5.9 are in the support of customization of special transport objects, which should lead to the creation of various modifications of the transport. Also implemented is the reduction and optimization of the author’s scripts code and the long-awaited global changes in the map editor. Finally, script authors will be able to interact with the bones of the characters (it will help in implementing their own animations). Designers will note the inclusion of Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) support and many other changes.

  • 26th issue in the 1.х.х multiplayer lineup;
  • 355 days have passed since the last release;
  • added 49 new features;
  • added 16 new events;
  • more than 77 bug fixes and changes.

Major changes in MTA: SA 1.5.9:

  • you can use the new server-side event onPlayerResourceStart when the client is ready to load;
  • you can now define interior or dimension changes using two new functions onElementInteriorChange and onElementDimensionChange, which are available on both the client and server side – this will help to reduce your scripting code;
  • now with seven new controls you can edit the behavior of the bone elements of the characters in the game! This can be useful for some dynamic animations. Start your tests with the setElementBonePosition and setElementBoneRotation functions;
  • added more options for vehicle personalization! Now you can edit the positions of special objects (dummy) on each vehicle;
  • added many audio settings with sound effect options. The new items are inside the setSoundEffectParameter function;
  • added additional options for personalizing the client loading window, which are located in the parameters of the onClientTransferBoxProgressChange function;
  • implemented one of the most popular for a long time the engineRequestModel function, which allows you to assign custom objects and vehicles;
  • you can now use scalable vector graphics (SVG format). See the details of the svgCreate function;
  • now you can specify pedestrians and vehicles as a target for the camera;
  • added a lot of sync improvements;
  • Added many fixes, multiplayer quality of life, updates and security improvements;
  • added many fixes to the multiplayer resources that are available by default: the webmap is working again, the map editor now allows you to select many more objects (for example, bushes, fences, and much more). Now objects of the world can be deleted inside the interiors. This should help the creators of the maps.

The development team is now focused on creating MTA: San Andreas 1.6 – it will appear in 2022. In this version, the multiplayer code will be completely rewritten. They will continue to stream live multiplayer gameplay that they share with the community. New video releases will appear early next year. We are also working on the project for the second version of the site. “MTA Community” (a huge file archive of MTA work), and the end of the first phase of development is scheduled for August 1, 2022.
