Despite Andromeda’s critical failure, many would agree that the first Mass Effect was a simply awe-inspiring trilogy. Moreover, it is not for nothing that BioWare intends to redistribute it in the form of a remastered compilation on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the objective being obviously to bring back a few dollars and, above all, to put the saga back on the rails … for a new opus. If its name is missing, this “Mass Effect 5” was recently illustrated in a book published by Dark Horse, “BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development”: we can thus see first artworks, illustrating new environments. The book even allows itself to do a little teasing: “ALook forward to exploring incredible new worlds with memorable characters supported by the series’ signature choices and consequences. ”
That’s it, we are back in the bath. However, we will have to be patient since BioWare is already well occupied, firstly by the reboot of Anthem (a definitely complicated site) but also by the design of Dragon Age 4. Suffice to say that the firm has its work cut out for it. …
