Just Cause 4’s greatest trailer stars a careless Japanese otter mascot

You’ll have seen these Just Cause 4 trailers, yeah? Explosions, clips of dramatic dialogue, Inception bwamps, music constructing to a drop… video game trailer stuff, proper? Turns out, Just Cause Four has an entirely pleasant strand of selling too, for Japan. Chiitan, the energetic however accident-prone otter mascot of Tokyo’s Akihabara district, stars in a collection of movies making an attempt to recreate the dramatic stunts of Rico Rodriguez and… they don’t go nicely. It is nice when they don’t go nicely. I’m glad when the otter’s hopes and desires crash into the realities of swinging on grappling hooks, operating via storms, and gliding with a wingsuit.

Chiitan has the power of a less-creepy Mr Blobby (look, you may’t say Japan is bizarre once we let that horror free on prime time television then gave him not solely a #1 single however a theme park too). Her power is inadequate for the challenges.

The Chiitan promo page and lighthearted tackle the murderman’s antics of the pleasant Japanese fad of recreating video game box art using cute clip art:

I imagine Chiitan is the supersize mascot type of an precise actual otter. Both the big and the small are on Twitter so there’s a sizzling tweettip.

It is nice when issues don’t go nicely for the otter. Oh god she has a YouTube channel too, there goes my afternoon.

Oh, yeah, and Just Cause Four is because of launch on December 4th.
