GTA Online Updates: Sewing Factory, FIB Missions, and More

Yesterday, under the name Agents of Sabotage (localized as “Freelance Saboteurs” for some reason), update 1.70 for GTA Online was released. It’s an interesting and successful addition despite some initial login issues on PC, which developers quickly resolved. So, what was presented to us this time?

Tailoring Business

Pavel, the operator of our submarine Kosatka, suggests embarking on a new adventure with Jodi Marshall (a new character), who once worked for the FIB but now aims to act against the agency. To do this, you’ll need to purchase the Darnell Bros. garment factory—the same one Lester used as a front during the heists in GTA 5. The price is fixed at 2,350,000 GTA$. No additional upgrades or repairs are needed—everything is included. The facility comes equipped with a gun workshop with the ability to upgrade weapons to Mk II versions, a personal room with a bed and wardrobe, a table with snacks, drinks, a joint, and other familiar conveniences. Seamstresses work on the second floor, providing passive income without additional effort—about 1,500 to 2,000 every 48 in-game minutes (a full day in game time). Be sure to empty the safe after accumulating 100,000 GTA$—it cannot hold more. While the business runs smoothly, you can step out onto the roof to enjoy the stunning view of the city center or head to the garage (with 10 parking spaces) in the basement. It has a unique feature—a special fast travel system (teleports) connected to the Los Santos subway. You can go directly to one of five stations: Burton, Del Perro, La Mesa, the MAZE bank parking, and the Tataviam Mountains park. From there, you can only return to the garment factory (switching between stations is not allowed).

But the most important feature of the new property is the laptop and mobile app that give organization CEOs and motorcycle club presidents access to FIB operations—a series of new missions. There are four operations in total (only one has several variations—the rest are linear), and one mission is given priority. For this, you earn twice the payout, and it changes weekly. Non-priority missions can be replayed after completing any other mission. The waiting period between missions is 5 minutes. Eight out of nine new platinum awards are earned for completing these missions (the ninth is for the aforementioned passive income). In “Career Progress” (still exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S), a new section is available, offering rewards such as Pavel’s cap and T-shirt, FIB (FBR) livery for the Benefactor Terrorbyte and Vapid Firebolt ASP (currently the only way to obtain it).

The livery is not the only improvement for the Benefactor Terrorbyte. It can be taken to a special space in the garment factory, where Jodi will upgrade it by installing:

• A collector scanner for 1,290,000 GTA$, a device that shows nearby collectibles: playing cards, action figures, peyote plants (cacti), signal jammers, movie props, music USB sticks, LD Organics products, shipwrecks, and J’s stashes;
• Stealth mode for 425,000 GTA$, which removes the truck icon from maps and radars when parked;
• A jamming signal generator for 425,000 GTA$, preventing automatic target lock-on for mobile command centers with missiles;
• A central control console for 500,000 GTA$, allowing you to manage cargo and raw materials at businesses, as well as garages and vehicle storage.
