Action icon Jason Statham is set to headline a meta-action comedy titled “Jason Statham Stole My Bicycle,” according to Deadline.
The film will be helmed by David Leitch, the director behind Deadpool 2, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy. The screenplay was written by Alison Flierl, known for her work on BoJack Horseman.
While specific plot details and a premiere date remain under wraps, principal photography is scheduled to begin this May with a projected budget of approximately $80 million.
Statham recently starred in the thriller The Shelter. Additionally, a sequel to his hit film The Beekeeper is currently slated for release next year.
