The developers also refined several immersion-breaking mechanics: fire-themed adversaries are now immune to fire damage, skittish creatures like foxes will no longer initiate attacks on players, and skeletons have been granted immunity to drowning—logic dictates they lack the lungs for it. Other notable changes include expanded character creation tools, revamped sound effects, and a new mechanic for early sleepers: “rest can now begin as early as 7:30 PM.”

True to form, Hypixel emphasized that development is full steam ahead. “We are dedicated to a rapid patching cycle to resolve community concerns and enhance the gameplay experience as swiftly as possible,” the studio stated.
Inspired by the blocky world of Minecraft and built by former server developers, Hytale already has a modding community working to bring that classic aesthetic into the new RPG.
