Hollow Knight Silksong has been out for only about three weeks, yet a speedrunner has managed the near‑unthinkable: finishing the sprawling metroidvania in under an hour — an achievement that’s both lightning‑fast and frankly humbling.
Nebula uploaded an Any% run yesterday and reached the end credits in 58 minutes and 52 seconds, using some of the slickest movement tricks I’ve seen so far. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first Silksong speedrun published online that breaks the one‑hour mark.
In the video description, Nebula notes that the “Mist route is actually slightly outdated” a couple of weeks after launch and that routing through Last Judge now saves roughly 40 seconds compared to an average Mist run — possibly around 30 seconds for skilled players — though that faster line depends on some difficult skips.
Nebula also says they plan to learn that quicker route next. As they put it: “I decided to try and go for sub hour with the Mist first… and well… got this run lol.” So yes — sometimes these things happen by accident.
