This week’s release calendar delivered a compelling mix of three major albums and three standout singles that have captured the attention of our editorial team. As we dive into these new sounds, we want to know: which of these six highlights is your absolute favorite arrival of the week?
Headlining the album releases is the return of A$AP Rocky with his long-awaited project, Don’t Be Dumb. Marking his first full-length studio effort since 2018’s Testing, the rapper officially unveiled the collection on Friday, January 16. While listeners were previously introduced to “Punk Rocky” and “Helicopter,” the full drop features a robust 15-track standard set, complemented by two digital bonus tracks.
In the world of K-pop, ENHYPEN—the powerhouse septet featuring Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki—released their 11-track EP, The Sin: Vanish. Led by the sharp energy of the single “Knife,” the vampire-themed record serves as the opening chapter in their expansive new The Sin conceptual series.
Rounding out the album trio is Madison Beer, who debuted her third studio album, locket. Following her 2023 release Silence Between Songs, the new record is anchored by the viral success of “Make You Mine”—a Top 10 hit on the Pop Airplay charts—and includes her inaugural Hot 100 entry, “Bittersweet,” along with the fan-favorite “Yes Baby.”
The singles market was equally competitive this week. Nigerian icons Wizkid and Asake teamed up for the rhythmic “Jogodo,” while country breakout Megan Moroney shared the heartfelt “Wish I Didn’t.” Additionally, indie-pop auteur Mitski returned with the introspective new track “Where’s My Phone?”
