Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has dominated final evening’s BAFTAs, taking house 5 awards.
This is sort of an enormous deal for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which nabbed the Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, British Game, Best Performer, and the Game Beyond Entertainment award.
The Best Game was received by What Remains of Edith Finch, beating Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and Hellblade.
Hellblade was a dangerous enterprise for developer Ninja Theory. The studio poured all their cash on this years-long mission and got down to make an indie sport with triple-A manufacturing values. After a stable critical reception and not-too-shabby sales, it’s good to see the workforce’s enterprise repay.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which was nominated for Best Multiplayer, Best Evolving Game, and Best Original Property, didn’t win any of them. It misplaced Best Multiplayer to Divinity: Original Sin 2, Best Evolving Game to Overwatch, and Best New Property to Horizon Zero Dawn.
The solely different sport to win multiple award was Super Mario Odyssey, which claimed the award for Best Game Design, and Best Family Game.
