Grand Theft Auto 5 flashed on Intel graphics card and strengthened in Twitch

While players are expecting a significant drop in prices for video cards from Nvidia and AMD, Intel quietly introduced a budget-level graphics card Intel Iris Xe DG1, which immediately tested by specialists of the resource Videocardz in our favorite game Grand theft auto 5… Almost simultaneously with this, the analytical service StreamElements shared the latest statistics of views on Twitch – the five confidently settled in the top three.

Intel is poised to break into the graphics card market shared by giants such as Nvidia and AMD. Several models are planned for release, and while the miners dismantled almost all video cards during the cryptocurrency boom (thereby increasing the prices for the remaining cards), a budget video card fell into the hands of the guys from Videocardz, which is available only in ready-made computers from Intel.

What is the novelty? ASUS Intel Xe DG1 is equipped with 4GB LPDDR4X video memory, consumes 30W and is equipped with a passive cooling system made in the form of an aluminum radiator. As for performance, experts estimate its power in synthetic tests at the level of AMD Radeon HD 7870 or GeForce GTX 760, but in terms of power consumption it is six times lower.

GTA 5 and its performance on the Intel Xe DG1 video card

In Grand Theft Auto 5 tests at Full HD (1920×1080) resolution and normal graphics settings, the ASUS Intel Xe DG1 was able to achieve 86 frames per second, which is a very good result at the moment. If for some reason you are planning to upgrade your computer, then take a closer look at the new product from Intel – it will allow you to comfortably play your favorite GTA games with a good frame rate.

A full announcement of all Intel graphics cards will take place later this year. I wonder if miners will buy them up?

Next up are some nice stats from Twitch. The first place is firmly held by the broadcasts of the chatterboxes, which attract an unimaginable 279 million viewers. In May, the audience of those who love to watch the broadcasts of Grand Theft Auto 5 increased by 6% (this includes broadcasts GTA Online and other alternative multiplayer GTA 5). The five firmly holds the second place in the rating of the most popular broadcasts – it is watched by 250 million people! The third position is occupied by the viewers of League of Legends (LoL) with 168 million people.
