This is not a scoop for anyone, Sony Interactive Entertainment has revised its policy regarding next gen games, and refuses in fine to turn its back on the PS4 and its installed base of more than 110 million machines in the world. Titles like Spider-Man Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West, however advertised as being developed especially for the PS5, also benefit from marketing on PS4. And what about God of War Ragnarök, announced for the end of 2021? According to David Jaffe, who is none other than the creator of the series, and who officiated at Santa Monica Studios from the first God of War until the start of production of the second opus, there is no doubt about the arrival of the game on PS4. It was during a livestream on Twitch that the latter was affirmative that the next adventures of Kratos will not be exclusive to the PS5.
Good news for all players who have yet to give in to Sony’s new console, and we still hope that the fact that it is cross-gen doesn’t drag the game’s production down. We obviously expect this God of War Ragnarök to be a next gen slap worthy of the name.
