In an update to the early entry patch notes, Epic Games’ government producer Zak Phelps says “we messed up in missing a HUGE part of our patch notes” and apologises for the error. He says the rationale behind the lacking bases got here on account of a call to change the three maps to enhance stability at larger difficulties.
Phelps goes on to say that “map changes require us to reset any base you have built” and that “we have to do this to avoid issues with built bases conflicting with the map changes.” Phelps confirms that each one constructing supplies and traps concerned in constructing bases on these maps has been refunded, though acknowledges that “the time it took to create your base can’t be replaced.”
Finally, Phelps says “As we move through Early Access we will be modifying the game and making changes to improve the experience, at times this will mean changes that require refunds to core systems like the skill tree, research tree, and storm shields. We are never going to reset your overall progression.”
Phelps’ publish appears to recommend that this may very well be an ongoing difficulty as the sport progresses by its early entry part, so it is likely to be a smart concept to not make investments an excessive amount of time in constructing your Storm Shield Bases till after Fortnite’s full launch, which is predicted in early 2018.
