Final Fantasy VII Part. 2: some news from Square-Enix, the mood should change a lot

That’s the plan from the start: the Final Fantasy VII remake is planned in two parts, the first of which is, as everyone knows, released last year on PS4. A great critical and commercial success which should fully motivate Square-Enix to shape this second episode: good news, the iconic head of the Japanese firm Tetsuya Nomura has just released some information on its gestation. There’s not much to chew on and for good reason, the title still hasn’t been officially shown with a secret defense embargo still in effect.

What does it matter, after having made a phone call (himself having provoked a whole bunch internally at Square-Enix) to ask what he had the right to reveal, the director of the first episode therefore drops a little biscuit : “development is going well”, he confirms timidly. We will be making announcements in due course, but right now, please be aware that Cloud evolves in the midst of a lot of nature. The vibe and atmosphere is very different from “Part. 1” so I think players will appreciate it. “

After having spent many beautiful hours in the very urban environment of Midgard, Cloud and his team will therefore go alongside much greener, more ventilated places, which should change the situation drastically. Nomura specifies in passing that the story of part 2 will begin right after the end of Intergrade “, the version dedicated to the PS5 (which will be released in a few days) with its new segment. This should therefore encourage fans to jump on this next-gen version, once again.
