Far Cry 5 has bought just below 5 million copies in its first week. That’s double its predecessor’s week one gross sales, and has given Ubisoft’s inventory an 8% bump.
Getting lonely in Montana? Here are all Far Cry 5’s guns (and fangs) for hire, and methods to unlock them.
The information comes from funding agency Jeffries Group, through a report at Boursier, a French enterprise website. Industry observer DomIsPlaying translated it and tweeted it out:
Ubisoft inventory traded up nearly 8% at present on yesterday’s stable Far Cry 5 gross sales announcement.

We already knew Far Cry 5 was doing nicely – Ubisoft themselves had said it was their second-biggest launch ever (after The Division), and it stormed to the highest of the UK gross sales chart.
Still, 5 million copies in per week is extraordinary. Jeffries Group say it took Far Cry four a complete yr to shift eight million. If you would like so as to add to Ubisoft’s profitable week, Far Cry 5 is on Steam here.
