The world of video games never stops spinning, even when you’re at the table. Indeed, Epic Games has just announced through a official press releasel bought out Tonic Games Group, the parent entity of Mediatonic to which we owe Fall Guys. The British studio is not the only one included in the operation, since the publisher The Irregular Corporation (Murder by Numbers) and the start-up Fortitude Games are also in the bundle.
As if to reassure Fall Guys fans, Epic Games indicates that the transaction – the amount of which has not been filtered out – will change absolutely nothing as to the availability of the game on the various platforms. Steam and the PlayStation consoles can therefore blow, just like the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S where Fall Guys will land soon.
Obviously, Mediatonic assures that benefiting from the financial power of Epic Games will have no impact on the creativity of its teams, and that its future productions will be faithful to its DNA. For the record, Fall Guys is more than 10 million players on Steam. Yes, it deserves respect.
