Dissembler unfolds new puzzles

Pleasant puzzler Dissembler has whacked in 4 dozen new puzzles in your tile-flipping pleasure. Y’know, Dissembler, the game about flipping tiles to make matches and clear puzzles away so that you finish with a clear slate – the game I loved when it launched in February. The new puzzles embrace new tiles with new behaviours, creating some massive headscratches and a few fairly footage like that ↑ cup of espresso. I’m so drained this morning I instinctively reached in direction of the display screen.

Dissembler is sweet! Try Dissembler. It’s a puzzle game to play with as a lot as play, with mild clicks and whirrs as you strive flipping tiles and studying how differing kinds work, with limitless undo to revert errors. It’s simply… nice. I’ve loved spinning and pondering and clacking. It already has an infinite mode and new each day problem puzzles each day, however (clearly) solely a restricted variety of hand-made puzzles so I welcome these 48 extra.

Because I’m a complete stupidhead, I’ll hand you over to creator Ian MacLarty (sure, the fella who makes those vibrant eyebombs) for the explanation:

“The first tile sort is a diagonally break up tile that permits tiles of various colors to be mixed into one matched group. It additionally permits for extra attention-grabbing puzzle compositions and I had enjoyable making some pictogram puzzles, for instance a puzzle that appears like a cup of espresso, or a fish.

“The second sort of tile is a ‘linked’ tile. If two tiles are linked then transferring one causes the opposite to maneuver as properly. This creates some advanced cause-and-effect chains leading to some difficult puzzles.”

Right. Yes. Tricky puzzles. I’ll crack these actual quickly, I’m certain.

Dissembler is out now for Windows, Mac, and Linux by way of Steam and Itch.io. It’s on Apple and Android pocket telephones and information decks too.
