Demon Slayer test: CyberConnect2's fighting game is a small disappointment, here are the ratings in the world

Many of us placed high hopes in the game Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles, newborn from CyberConnect2 laboratories, the developers of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. It must be said that the first gameplay images let hope for a fighting game in the same vein, with confrontations with a staging worthy of the Japanese anime. But over the course of the promo campaign and videos swung here and there, concerns started to emerge. The verdict is finally in, since the game has been available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and Xbox One since October 15. And what emerges is that the content at launch is clearly insufficient, starting with a roster that is too weak for a fighting game of this caliber. There are indeed 18 of them, but 6 of them are alternate versions of themselves, meaning there are only 12 truly. Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles is also criticized for offering a fairly flat Story mode, with a rambling narration. Fortunately, gameplay and staging are the strengths of this game, which scores a disappointing 71% median rating on Metacritic, both in its PS4 and PS5 versions. While waiting to offer you our test, here are those of colleagues around the world:
