Known for having been one of the creators of the Twisted Metal saga and the first God of War (he also worked on the second episode before leaving Santa Monica in development), David Jaffe has been having fun for several months, and the start of the pandemic, to stream games on his Twitch channel. We owe him some revelations from the video game industry, in particular on the fact that he is convinced that God of War Ragnarok will not be a PS5 excluded, but will also be released on PS4. Still, the guy, now close to the look of Kratos in his reboot, has apparently not finished with the development of video games. In a video posted on the MovieGames YouTube channel, David Jaffe announces, eye to eye, that he has joined the board of this Polish studio, used to games that go off the beaten track such as Lust From Beyond, a horrific and psychological thriller who is also eyeing the side of eroticism, not to say pornography. David Jaffe streamed the game, fell in love with it (“I was sucker punched!”) and made it known on its main social networks.
Contacted by the studio, David Jaffe probably has an important role in the eyes of MovieGames who decided to hire him as supervisor of the various projects to come. For now, the ex-game designer from Sony does not need to leave the United States to go to Poland, but he seems very happy to join this new family which reminds him of the beginnings of PlayStation where the we were ready to embark on original projects, with refreshing ideas. Who knows, maybe MovieGames will become the next CD Projket Red under the impetus of Jaffe …
