Barely a week after the deployment of patch 1.04, CD Projekt Red informed all players that a new hotfix was published on this Saturday, December 19, 2020. It concerns all platforms, PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One consoles and makes it possible to correct some major and minor problems before the arrival of the two big patches promised by the Polish studio in January and February. It is recalled that following the deplorable state of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, Sony has decided to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store, which means that it is no longer available for purchase, until see you again. The Japanese manufacturer has in the process set up a refund system without any conditions, something that Microsoft also offers since the gaming experience is simply ruined by all of these bugs. On the other hand, as a good partner, the Redmond firm leaves the game available for purchase on its online Xbox store. Go, without further ado, the list of all the changes proposed by this Hotfix 1.05.

PC SPECIFIC
- [AMD SMT] Optimized default core / thread usage for 4 and 6 core AMD Ryzen ™ processors. The 8-core, 12-core, and 16-core processors remain unchanged and behave as expected. This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and based on testing from both sides indicating that the performance improvement only occurs on processors with 6 cores and less.
- Fixed an issue with the way raw inputs are collected.
- Removed the use of AVX instructions, correcting crashes occurring at the end of the prologue on processors that do not support AVX.
- Removed the Debug Console to prevent features that could cause crashes or stuck quests. That’s not to say we don’t want to support the mod community. Stay tuned for more on this.
- Light reflections (ray tracing) should no longer appear too bright compared to the surroundings.
- Fixed an issue with the Steam Overlay crashing when stopping the game.
- Delete the memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was unrelated to and had no influence on the final version of the game (it was a leftover file used during development to estimate memory usage. It had no effect on the amount of memory actually allocated). The performance increase seen after editing the file may have been related to restarting the game.
